Below are the basic steps to creating your own Smile Gear stylus. 

Purchase a basic grocery store sponge.

*We have substituted sponge tip with another material, contact us to learn more!*

Step 1 - Carve Sponge / Conductive to fit end of wire

Supply #3 - Fur Covered Wire

Trim down the fur on the end of the wire so that you can see both the wire tip.  Fit the cut foam on top of tip.  Adjust as needed to get a nice fit.

Step 2 - Trim End

Step 3 - Apply Sponge

Using scissors, trim foam to correct size to fit on end of wire.  Be sure to make foam thick enough that wire doesn't poke through.

Using wire, attach the conductive foam to the fuzzy wire!

Step 4 - Try on!

Try on your Smile Gear!  If it is not sturdy enough, you can wrap additional wire around the long body of the furry wire to increase stiffness. Try it out!
